Here is a little about me... Denise Scaccia...
I graduated from Southern Illinois University with my Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I earned my Master's Degree from Central Michigan University in Curriculum and Instruction. All of my teaching experience has been in Fulton County. I have been a kindergarten assistant, a pre-k teacher, a first grade teacher, and a kindergarten teacher. Ocee is my fourth Fulton County school to work at, and I have been here since the 2002-03 school year. I have taught kindergarten for all but one of the years I have been here. I love being in kindergarten! During the summer of 2015 I was classroom trained in the Orton Gillingham approach to reading thanks to a wonderful organization called REAP- Reading is Essential for all People. I plan on spending some of my spare time helping the organization so that more teachers and therefore more students can be blessed with the experience and knowledge. Other things I enjoy during my spare time are making classroom activities, baking, spending time with friends, working with Habitat for Humanity, and going to the movies.
Here is a little about Lorraine Thompson, our teacher assistant...
Mrs. Thompson is from Virginia and graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Special Education. This will be Mrs. Thompson’s fifth year as a teacher assistant at Ocee. She has been married for 33 years and has two grown sons.
